Alpinia Travel

Welcome to the first blog post! Here I will tell you how I came up with the idea of founding Alpinia Travel and starting a travel blog. Enjoy reading!

I introduce myself in more detail under the heading „About“. I also mentioned there that my whole life has revolved around traveling. At the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 I was in Martinique, a beautiful island in the Caribbean. I enjoyed traveling before that journey, but this vacation has changed my future plans.

How it began

My family and I spent 10 wonderful days on the island. We went on lots of exploration tours, in cities and on beaches. I especially liked the „Les Salines“-Beach. We visited this beach several times and watched the sunsets. There on the beach, between palm trees and the ocean in the warm light of the sunset, I first had the thought that I could also work in the travel industry in my future.

In the following days and weeks I preoccupied with these thoughts and created some ideas.

Some time later

After graduating from high school in 2023, I started my studies a few months later. I already had concrete goals for my future and that is why I decided to study Tourism & Leisure Management. Currently, I am still studying, but I have decided to take the first steps towards achieving my goals.

My blog

This blog is just one of many steps, but I have been working on it for months. I am also working on a few other projects, both large and small. The biggest project is planned for next year (2025), but until nothing is 100% finalized, I unfortunately cannot share any more detailed information about it.

By the way , I would like to answer right away how I came up with the name „Alpinia Travel“. Alpinia is a plant from Martinique and since it all started on this island, I wanted the name to remind me of that. The word also reminds me of the Alps and Austria, the country where I grew up.

But now back to what you can expect on this blog in the future. I have lots of ideas that I want to write about. These include road trips, travel tips, personal experiences and also sights in many cities and countries.
